This has been a whirlwind week at Crystal Cove Press, and we have some incredible announcements to share!
First, we are absolutely thrilled to announce that Monique Snyman has officially stepped into the role of Editor-in-Chief and Publisher of Crystal Cove Press!
Monique lives in Pretoria, South Africa with her husband, daughter, and an adorable Chihuahua. She is the Bram Stoker Award®-nominated author of The Night Weaver and The Bone Carver, as well as the acclaimed South African horror novel Dark Country. Beyond her writing, Monique has worked on and off with Crystal Lake Publishers since 2012, bringing her extensive experience in writing, editing, and publishing to every project she touches. Now, with Monique at the helm of Crystal Cove Press, readers can expect a daring new chapter fueled by creativity, passion, and a true love for genre fiction.

We are ecstatic to announce that Andrew Najberg has signed with Crystal Cove Press!
Andrew is a powerhouse talent — a Tennessee-based author, teacher, husband, and father — whose work spans dark fantasy, horror, science fiction, and poetry. He’s the author of The Mobius Door (Wicked House Publishing, 2023), Gollitok (Wicked House Publishing, 2023), The Neverborn Thief (Olive-Ridley Press, 2024), and many more, including the upcoming Extinction Dream, Paradise Falls, and Dead Hearts Eat the Light. His poetry collections include The Goats Have Taken Over the Barracks and Fighting Fermi.
Beyond the page, Andrew is also a board game designer with his first game, The Bad Side of Town, expected in late 2025/early 2026. He teaches at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, specializing in creative writing, rhetoric, composition, and Japanese literature. When he’s not writing or teaching, he can be found tending his vegetable garden, playing board games with his kids, or dreaming of travel adventures with his family.
We are honored to bring Andrew’s brilliant imagination into the Crystal Cove Press family, and we can’t wait for you to dive into his newest dark fantasy novel, The Neverborn Thief, launching with us in 2025!
