Former U.S. army brat, Kathleen Greer was born in Kyoto, Japan, and spent much of the first twelve years of her life living in countries around the world. After graduating Summa Cum Laude from New England College in Henniker, NH, she went to work as an investigative reporter at the Concord Monitor, a New Hampshire daily, writing under the pen name Kathy Greer. She continued in the newspaper business as an editor for the NH Guardian News, and eventually as the publisher of UnRavel the Gavel, Inc., an antiques and collectibles newspaper in New England.
“Throughout this entire time period, I kept writing novels,” she said. “I’ve tried many genres, but always returned to the dark side.”
Kathleen now lives in a small, rural town in South Carolina, along with her husband and two crazy rescue Boxer pups and one nutty Afghan hound.
Oh, and ten rescued cats.
“Who can write dark horror and fantasy without having cats.”
